Cydney Stephens is a Broadcast Journalism Major set to graduate May of 2019 from Howard University. Stephens has been a practicing Journalist for two years. With a keen eye behind the lens, Cydney focuses primarily on Photojournalism.
Cydney was born in Tacoma, Washington amidst great cultural and ethnic diversity. For this reason, she finds interest in issues pertaining to Equality and Social Justice. Currently, Stephens is working to develop a campaign rallying Black-Owned businesses and preserving the culture in her hometown of Tacoma, Washington.
Cydney is a member of the National Press Photographers Association at Howard University. Under the mentorship of long-time photographer turned professor, Milbert Brown, Stephens continues to develop her eye.
When she is not developing her journalistic eye, Cydney enjoys discovering new restaurants. Located in Washington, D.C, Cydney has visited many restaurants. Her current favorite is Ben’s Nextdoor.
